The Transition

When there is talent and tenacity combined into one spirit, it is impossible to keep quiet or caged for too long. Gypsy Hundley has been a full time artist for over 10 years and her work has been exhibited in 100's of cities throughout the nation. Starting out as a young outsider/folk artist, she painted on found objects. Anything she could find that was no longer needed or wanted, Gypsy would bring the item back to life with her colorful imagination. As any true artist would evolve, she found great changes in her style and subject. Her unique free spirit, collided alongside a passionate, pained heart... and her art discovered balance and truth. Now more than ever, Gypsy's art is gaining more recognition, respect and attention. Presently carrying her work are galleries in Savannah GA, Key West FL, Atlanta GA, Winston-Salem, Asheville NC, and more. "This is a journey that I have learned patience, humility, technique, and confidence. The highs and lows on this path are what I live for. Without balance between the two, everything would just be normal...and I refuse to become ordinary." Gypsy continues to reside in the mountains of Western NC, and travels throughout the nation in search of learning, experiencing, and seeking newness. Her heart is in the right place, which leads her to the proper changes necessary to continue improvement in her style.
