The beginning of a New Year! I am looking very forward to this year. So many changes are approaching, and change is something we should all accept and KNOW that with it comes a lesson to better ourselves, and become greater at who we already are. 2011 was a year of joy, pain, success, failure, love and loss. But through it all, I am watching my life head into the direction that it is meant.
This year, I will begin a series of abstracts. In the past I have dabbled with several and found that they rapidly sold. In abstract, I am free to express each and every emotion without hesitation. Still carrying vibrant colors, these pieces will carry an enormous amount of soul. I find when I'm behind the tools of this style of art, that I scream aloud, dance about, cry and laugh alongside every stroke. I add my hands, my body, my mind and my spirit in the madness of abstract! Stay tuned for these amazing, fascinating inventions!
I am staying busy with the galleries that I am currently selling. Many commissions and website orders keep my hands from becoming idle. I am blessed in so very many ways with people who continue to seek my art form.
When I am told from another that they can't even paint a stick figure, but they are an admirer of my creativity....I respond with, "well, those are the most important people in my line of business, and I appreciate you as much as you do me!" The Artist

To me there is nothing better than finding an old piece of junk and turning it into something splendid. An old window, tin shingle, scrap wood, instruments....all of it is a perfect canvas for my imagination to go wild.
Painting brings my thoughts to a much brighter playground. My combination of color and movement gives my work it's unique, identifiable look. Behind the paintbrush is truely where I love to live.
I travel throughout the nation in my handpainted, colorful van, loaded with my inventions. I sell to art galleries, and restaurants, businesses and homes. I am for hire to do commission pieces and one of a kind murals.
My objective is to brighten souls, bring smiles and live each day like it is the last. Art is truely oxygen to my soul.
I have been a full time artist for over eight years, and continue to fight for my passion's success.
I grew up in the mountains of Kentucky, learning to be resourceful in my endless hours of playtime. I used crayon, rocks, bottle caps, sticks and all sorts of treasures that were found in the woods. I now live in the mountains of NC, still seeking objects to give me ideas and newness to add into my already colorful splendor.
As a well known folk artist, I remain in a quiet atmosphere in my studio that is surrounded with horses, geese, creeks, and barns. It is private and gives me the quality time needed to reenergize fuel for my spirit to flutter about.

Have you ever seen a painting that you pass by, and stop dead in your tracks? You take a few steps back, turn toward the art and find your hands pressed and crossed around your chest, taking in a deep sigh? This is the reaction you will get when you see my art. Maybe it's the unique combination of colors, or the movement that blends them together. Maybe it's the freedom in every stroke, or the message that moves you. Whatever it may be, you will FEEL it. My artwork moves a soul to dance, skip and sing. I use my childlike imagination wherever Iam daily to create joy to folks everywhere. My vision is to bring happiness to the world, to soften hearts, and to build a smile. After you hang your painting in your home, you will feel the same eachtime you see it. I have witnessed my artwork bring families closer together, and strengthen the individual spirit.
